Our Team

Mr. Abdullayev is the Managing Director at Feronia Capital. Prior to founding the firm, he had a successful career as a Trader at multinational commodities trading companies first at Bunge Ltd and later at Noble Group Ltd in New York, Istanbul and Geneva offices.

At Noble, Mr. Abdullayev managed the Black Sea grain trading operations for the offices in Ukraine, Russia and Turkey with combined turnover of +$1B along with its risk management and proprietary trading.

 He also has a prior experience at the hedge fund arm of Arlon Group, NYC-based food and agribusiness investment firm, and as a Consultant at McKinsey&Company as well as an Analyst at Citigroup and BP.

 Mr. Abdullayev holds an undergraduate degree in Economics with the highest honors from Cornell University and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

 Mr. Abdullayev was the winner of the National Mathematics Olympiads in Azerbaijan in 2002 and 2003.
